Recurring Yeast Infections. Ovarian Cysts. Severe Pain Before Periods, Night Sweats. Concerned

hi. I have been getting yeast infections about a week before my period for a few months now, I have been told i have smalln ovarian cysts, I get quite a bit of pain about a days bwfore my period starts. they have also been unusually heavy and clotty at the beginning . in the past few months I've been getting night sweats which is very unusual for me I'm only 30 years old my grandmother did recently tell me that her and my aunt have thyroid issues.. could you tell me some possibilities there's also some other things too that my play a role in it if that's the issue thank you s

Hi and thanks for the query,

recurring yeast infections might either imply inadequate treatment or resistance of the particular drug to the germ in question. A culture and sensitivity tests for identified germs might be useful in detecting the exact germ in question specific antibiotic that can effectively tackle it.

Ovarian cysts might not actually have much in relation to the yeast infections. Night sweats occur in many chronic pathologies or infectious processes(TB, lymphomas) and a good clinical examination might be required. Thyroid function tests under these circumstances could be necessary. But other

Severe pains before periods is an important consideration if it actually stated later in life. this is a secondary dysmenorrhea and would require chronic infections like Chlamydia, Mycoplasma to be screened.
