Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you are 50 years ,so at this age level of estrogen diminishes hence female feels some sort of problems as joint pain ( minor joints ) as in your case, stiff joint after immobilization ( after prolong rest).
Also decreases calcium level in body so person feels pain in various joints.
In arthritis usually there develops severe pain in joints ( small joints ), redness , swelling , tenderness, ( may be fever ).
In my opinion you don't have arthritis .
Just for precaution get in blood for C B C , E S R rheumatic factor, serum calcium level.
If any abnormality found consult a doctor.
Good luck.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. K. Naga Ravi Prasad's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

There is a possibiity that you could be suffering with degenerative arthritis of your knee joints. Xrays of the knee joint will help in establishing the amount of degeneration in the joints.

Pain & morning stiffness in the joints of the hands suggests some form of Inflammatory arthritis. Hematological investigations may prove some clue regarding the diagnosis.

I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for further workup and management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
