Prescribed Insulin And Thyroxine For Hypothyroidism And Diabetes. Precautions?

My neighbour was having slow fever in every night till one month .Then it was diagnosed as typhoid .After taking high doses of medicines ,she was diagnosed hypothyroidism( TSH 150)and diabetes(very high).Now she is taking insulin injection and 125 mg of thyroxin andshe is feeling better now.What should be the precautions?

1. Avoid exposure to radioactive fallout since it may contain radioactive iodine.

2. Avoid consumption of isoflavone-intensive soy products, such as soy protein, soy powders.

3.Increase the intake of iodine in the diet. The mineral Iodine is very important in the nutritional support of thyroid function.

4. Avoid consumption of uncooked brussels sprouts, broccoli, rutabaga, turnips, kohlrabi, radishes, cauliflower, African cassava, millet, babassu fruit, cabbage and kale.
