Pimples Outside The Lower Lip When Popped Pus Came Out. What Could It Be As The Skin Peeled After Popping?
hi , i had a little group of bumps on my outside lower lip that came out of no where and i popped them and clear pus came out not a lot also i havent had sex ever and I dont get cold sores so im not sure what it could be after i popped them the skin peeled and it began to hurt
I can understand your concern for the Pimples outside the lower lip. After reading your query there are two possibilities can be made:
1. Folliculitis: It presents as painful eruption over the skin with redness and pus oozing out if gets infected.
2. Herpes simplex: It is a viral infection and presents small vesicles.
In my view there is more of the possibility of the first thing because of the pus. You just observe the area for next 72 hours, if it increases then you can show it to a dermatologist.
For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablet such as paracetamol or diclofenac. Do not try to even touch or pinch the lesions as can cause more aggravation of the problem.
Take care
