Hi,

Azithromycin belongs to the group of antibiotic medications known as macrolides that is used in the treatment of wide variety of bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections like pneumonia, infections of the nose and throat like sinus infection or sinusitis, Lyme disease, skin and soft tissue infections, some sexually transmitted infections, urinary tract infections and many more. Nosebleed is reported among people who take Azithromycin.

On a recent medical study on December, 2020; 17,934 people have reported to develop side effects while they were on the treatment with Azithromycin. Among 17,934 people, 128 people or 0.71% of total people have reported nosebleed. Nosebleed is found among people, especially who are female, sixty plus old, have been using Azithromycin less than thirty days. If nosebleed persists for long or bother you, then you should stop taking this medication and inform your prescribing doctor promptly for medical help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
