Hello
I appreciate your query.
Progesterone needs to be taken for atleast five days and then stopped to induce progesterone withdrawal bleed.
The dose is decided by your body weight and other factors,
But you need to take it twice a day atleast for 5 days.
After stopping it, you might bleed within a couple of days, but maximum within a week.
Other than taking Registrone, there are ample other forms of oral and vaginal progesterone that you can use. Various brands are available, consult your gynecologist for clarification and advice.
But apart from taking withdrawal bleeding pills, you need thorough investigation as to the cause of delayed / absent period.
You need to get investigated for polycystic ovaries, hypothyroidism or any other local pathology .
Please consult your gynecologist for thorough check up
All the best.

hello,
You are suffering from irregular delayed period, called OLIGOMENORRHOEA.
There are several reason like Ovarian cyst/PCOD,over wt/extreme loss,thyroid problem,hormonal imbalance,stress,psychological upset,eating disorder etc.
Do a USG lower abdomen along with some hormone test like LH/FSH,Thyroid profile etc. to rule out the underlying pathology for delayed period. Then consult with your gynecologist and take advice accordingly.
There are different types of progesterone tab available with diff doses. Commonly pills are taken from day 1 of period to 21 days continuously then 7 days off and you get period in this time.
(21 days ON-7days OFF-21 days ON....continue)
Also control your body wt,take healthy diet, avoid stress and proper sleep.
Be well.
