Painful Swelling At Injections Site After PPSV Shot. Taken Aspirin. Normal?

received ppsv shot yesterday -- within 4-6 hours developed painful swelling at site of injection and arm muscle below injection site -- iced and took aspirin swelling reduced some -- but now 30 hours ++ still swollen and painful -- especially when trying to raise arm with injection. Is this normal? Will it subside soon? How long should I wait to check back with my doctor?

Hi,
The pain & swelling at the site of PPCV shot is seen in few individuals.
-Application of (Haeparin with Benzyl nicotinate ) local ointment without rubbing ,will help to reduce the swelling,
- if you have fever take Antibiotic (Erythromycin) & anti-inflammatary ( Ibuprofen Paracetamol combination)In proper doses with your Dr's consultation.
Thank you.
