Pain In Left Side Under Ribcage. Better If Pushed. History Of Hysterectomy, And Incisions Above Belly Button. Serious?
I am going on the third week after my hysterectomy. I had the Da Vinci robot and I am healing up great. I have four small incisions and about a two inch incision above my belly button. My fibroid was so large they had to make the incision bigger above my belly button. On Sat. I started having a pain on my left side right under my rib cage. It feels like someone is pulling on something. If I push in it feels a lot better. Just wondering if I should be worried about it or if it is just some heeling going on.
Hello user, As per your history, you had been operated laproscopically from Da Vinci Robot, and you are now feeling pain in left side under ribcage, which relives on pushing it.
I think its due to the residual CO2 gas which is used during laproscopic surgery, but you are post 3 week after surgery and CO2 takes mostly 4-5 days to dissolve. It may be also due to stretching of some viscus, which had been disturbed during surgery. You are rather advised to get a consultation done from your surgeon asap.
hope my info helped you regards, Dr Hari Om Chandrakar MBBS
