Occasional Tear Like Pain In Upper Abdomen. Had Broken Bones, Removed Ruptured Spleen Months Back. Is This Cause For Concern?
I was in a bad motorcycle wreck 4 months ago where I life-flighted and I received multiple injuries, including many broken bones and the removal of a ruptured spleen. I am happy to say that most everything is healing quite well. I have had this occasional tearing-like pain in my upper right abdomen and I am wondering what is could be? Lately the pain is happening more often and is now becoming more sever, therefore causing me concern. It is located right beneath my ribs. Thank you
Liver and gall bladder are situated in the upper right abdominal area which you are mentioning. These kind of symptoms particularly after a major accident involving multiple injuries to the abdomen are not normal at all. You need an emergency ultrasound and/or CT abdomen to assess the situation.
I feel that the symptoms described by you needs an emergency evaluation and treatment. Please visit a ER at the earliest.
