Lump Under Shaft, Test Normal

Hi, I am a 14 yr old Male who has JUST started puberty , I have just started Teste s checks and have found a weird lump under my shaft, it feels like a vein or sperm tube but is not attached to the teste s. is this ok?

Thanks for writing in.

At age 14 years, your sexual development has just started and your male hormone levels rise which causes testicular growth and sexual development. What you call as a weird lump is most likely a normal structure which you are feeling. There are structures like the spermatic cord and epididymis which are separate from the testis. You might have palpated the epididymis and felt it as a lump. If its at the bottom of the shaft then it is most likely that you are feeling the bulb of penis which is a normal structure.
