Lipid Tests Done. What Should Be Done To Get Into Normal Range?
Hello, I am a 61 year old healthy male from India. My latest lipid profile readings are as under: Total Cholesterol - 175 Triglyceride - 189 LDL Cholesterol - 96 HDL Cholesterol - 41 Total/HDL Ratio - 4.2% I drink alcohol moderately about 2 pegs every alternate day. I love sweets and desserts, I smoke about 2 cigarettes a day. I am a vegetarian, but eat fish about twice a month. I exercise regularly in a gym. I presume my triglyceride levels are high. What should I do to come to normal. Thanks in advance.
This Triglyceride is from alcohol... The best option is to stop it! / – low Carb diet helps LDL of 100 is OK – 70 will be ideal! / – low fat diet helps Consult a dietician – Stop smoking too – immediately, completely and permanently
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
