Itchy Where Neck And Shoulder Meet, Welts, Worse At Night

Over the last week I have been very itchy where my neck and shoulder meet, maily on the right side but last night it ended up travelling to the other side, then the itch goes up my neck to about halfway up my skull and behind my ears. Until today I have not noticed any rach but now there seems to be welts. It is worst at night and spasmodic during the day

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing or us.
From the description provided, it seems you are having acute urticaria. Urticaria at times can have nocturnal severity ie more severe in night time.
Please take tablet cetirizine for few days and apply calamine lotion over the lesions. Hopefully in few days, itching should subside.
If it does not please meet your dermatologist.
Hope this helped.
Take care
