Is Nurofen Safe If Given To A Child Suffering From Head Injury And Fever?

Does and temperature of 39.4 and a hit in the head have anything to do with one another. Our 4 year old was hit in the head this afternoon and also has a temperature of 39.4 we have just given her some Nurofen and made sure she is not wearing to many clothes and she is now sleeping.
