Is Brown Discharge A Normal Thing After Stopping Contraceptive Pill?
Hi , i came off the contraceptive jag after being on it for 2 years the start of september and gave myself a month taking nothing since then ive took the pill when i took a break i had a very light period but alot of brown discharge with it aswell lasted 5days i then didnt carry on the pill and this month ive took it for a 4 days while deployed in the field due to being in the army since then ive came to having alot of brown discharge and blood when i wipe after doing the toilet is this normal from my body been shut down from having no periods to now having them after no period for 2 years just my body getting back in the cycle am just so unsure as i had un protected sex with my partner but im not pregnant as been checked by GP ? Thanks

After stopping contraceptive pills, the body tends to balance the hormonal changes, the body starts to ovulate and thus discharges increases, discharge may be brown or red and may cause abdominal cramps. It is normal to have these symptoms. Fertility increases after stopping contraceptive pills so if you are sexually active and don't want pregnancy avoid unprotected sex.
