I am now passing clots, it is related to the cyst or something else ?
Hi, I am 22 weeks pregnant - I have been having bleeding on an off for the past 3 weeks. I have been told that I have a cervical cyst/polyp. Ultrasounds show that the baby is fine. Is it possible that since I am now passing clots it is related to the cyst ? Or could it be something else ? Really panicked hoping someone might have a similar experience to share.
Hi since the ultrasound shows that the baby is fine I think the bleeding is most likely due to cervical polyp. Other conditions that can cause this are
Placenta previa when placenta is situated lower down you can get this confirmed on USG.
Abruption of placenta commonly associated with raised B P. So keep a watch on your blood pressure and during USG ask if there is retroplacental clot or haemorrhage.
Welcome to health care magic forum
most common cause of bleeding during this period of gestation is low lying placenta .Please get your ultrasound repeated from good centre & get it confirmed whether the placenta is low lying or not.placenta should be 5cm higher from internal os of cervix during medium filled urinary bladder.Polyp or cyst rarely cause bleeding with clots.trans-vaginal ultrasound can give better information.
Wish you good health
Hi, Welcome to HealthCare Magic Forum. With your ultrasonogram showing baby fine mostly bleeding is from your cervical polyp only. Rule out low lying placenta with ultrasonogram. Aovid travelling in jerky roads and sexual intercourse which will aggravate your problem. Consult your obstetrician and take rest. Good Luck.

I have a pain in the front lower left. I do have a small ovarian cyst. But I m thinking it might be related to something else! If it were associated with my colon, what else should I be looking for besides pain. Also, is there a muscle there that I could be affected?
About two and a half years ago I started having a severe migraine that was constant and excruciating. I started seeing a neurologist who did an MRI on me and told me that I have a cyst in my pineal gland but he didn t think it was cancerous so I shouldn t worry. Well about six or seven months ago, my headaches started getting worse again and I started having seizures. I m 31 years old and never had a seizure before this in my life. They started out as just small seizures that didn t occur very often and my doctor told me not to worry and started me on a medication called lamictil for the migraines and seizures. Here lately, maybe the past three or four months, I ve been getting this sudden excruciating pain just all of a sudden out of nowhere in the right side of my head just above the temple and the pain and pressure is so bad that it feels like my eye is going to explode out of my head. The pain lasts a few minutes, and when it finally stops, my head swells up where the pain originated. The swelling usually goes away the next day most of the time. But now, the past couple of weeks, my seizures have become way more aggressive and come on stronger and more often now. I probably have one if not everyday then every other day. But I never remember having them anymore, my boyfriend usually tells New the next morning. It s like I black out right before I have one and then pass out when it s done. But the past two bad seizures I had, with the first of these two, my face was numb for a little while after I came to, and with this very last one, my whole right side went numb for a little while. So I guess what I want to know is would all these problems that I m having be related to the cyst or something else, and should I be concerned. My neurologist thinks I m fine but I don t agree and wanted to get a second opinion. Thank you so much.
Hello, Today I went for a CT scan for a lump on the back of my head. It has been growing for the past few months and has become painful in the past 4 days. I am a 30 y/o african american female. I exercise regularly but I am still overweight. In 2004 I was diagnosed with endometriosis and polycystic ovarian disease. About 4 years afterwards, I noticed something growing on my right cheek. When I went to the dermatologist, she told me that it was a cystic lesion . I have had several surgeries to remove cysts , tumors (benign), and adhesions but none moved past my reproductive system (that I know of) until the one on my face developed. After that, I had a mass grow under my breast last year and that was removed a week later. I have also been developing rashes all over my body, something as simple as a scratch will turn into a rash or they develop from nothing at all. Sometimes they have been extremely itchy, sometimes not and this began developing in 2009. Nothing has been cancerous but I cannot help being concerned about the possibility that it may not be just a cyst or benign tumor one day. I am looking for connections in my medical history and causes for these cycts. The recent one from todays tests say that its a sebaceous cyst . Is there any connection to all of this or a disease unknown to me that links everything else together? I am also experiencing high bp, which I never have had even when I was close to 300 lbs and after losing 75 lbs, I don t understand the sudden increase in my bp. Any suggestions for specialists, diet, exercise, possible causes, or anything at all would greatly be appreciated. I am truly terrified that if something does not change now, the simple things I have will become possible life threatening complications. Thank you, Erika Winslow
Hello, I was on Birth control( Ortho tri cyclen) for about 3 months and i stopped taking them a few days into the last pack. 2-3 Days later i had dark brown spotting and then 2 days after i had a full period that lasted 5 days. i had a heavy flow during these days (5/5- 5/9). Last week I ve been cramping and for the past week and a half i have been extremely fatigued. Not to mention my constant urge to pee all the time when I ve barely had much fluent intake. My uterus feels heavy and cramps come and go. Ive taken several at home hcg strip pregnancy tests and all were negative. What could this be?
I had a c-section 10 months ago. About three months ago I was having weak, fatigue , constipation, severe bloating , nausea, and urge to urinate. Had cat scan and all blood work came back fine. However they took my gallbladder out just cause they saw stones. I was then sent to my OB and she did exam and ultra sound of uterus and all was fine. At that time I was put on Metronidazole and began to feel normal. Now two months later after my period ended a few days later I had they symptoms appear again. Some days are worse than others. This time I also formed thrush in my mouth, and I have had brown stringy discharge for 8 days. It may help to know that in the last 28 months I have had 2 c sections and a gallbladder removed. I am at a total loss. I have been healthy my entire life. I am also 41 years old. Thank you for your time.
hi, can you help me explain in unmedical way the result of my ultrasoud, the uterus is retroverted with regular contour and homogenous echopattern measuring 6.0 x 4.8 x 3.7 cm. the cervic measures 2.3 x 2.3 x 2.4 cm. the endometrium is trilaminar measuring 0.9cm with intact subendometrial halo. the right ovary measures 3.0 x 2.6 x 1.7cm. the left ovary measures 2.8 x 1.8 x 1.5cm . Within both ovaries are multiple peripherally located anechoic cysts more than 12 in numbers, each measuring 1cm in size with dense central stroma. there is minimal free fluid in the cul de sac.
4 weeks ago I had a hysteroscopy and laporoscopy under general anaesthetic . I had some endometriosis on the left side and this was removed. However, they also discovered that my left ovary has fused to my bowel. I will be seeing the consultant again in the new year, but just wondered what problems/treatment is likely to occur. My GP said Don t worry, we ll sort it out when it starts causing problems .
