How To Treat Pain And Swelling At The Ankle After A Hairline Crack?
Sir, I had a hairline crack at calcenous bone. I had a casting for one month. But its 10 days now after cast having been removed, but still there is a lot of pain and swelling at the ankle. I just want to know normally how long it takes to resume normal activities??

I advice u to take an x ray of the ankle joint , to see if there is any problem at the ankle and also to check as to how much calcaneum # has healed.
Usually the calcaneum fracture needs to be immobilised a little longer than the other fractures since it is weight bearing bone and any weight before the # has healed may cause depression of the fragment ( thereby reducing the bohler's angle ).
It may take about 8 weeks atleast before the weight bearing can be allowed.
