How To Treat Depression And Grief In A Person Suffering Anxiety Disorder?

Depression and grief are problems my sister is having? What can I do to help her? She has an anxiety disorder, and has had problems taking meds, always has side effects. She takes arasapan. (don't know how to spell it) But she needs something more. This last year has been rough, as her husband fought and lost a cancer fight. It really has me worried about her. She lives in Billings Montana

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. Depression and grief are after effects of anxiety disorder. When they realize that their anxiety is going beyond their control, the patients tend to become depressed. That is part of anxiety.

Anxiety treatment considers this eventuality. Holistic anxiety therapy advices to change the life style so as to make the patient feel easy and trains in relaxation techniques.

You can post a direct question to me in this website. Include all the details, whatever you can provide. I shall prescribe some psychotherapy methods which are sure to work well for your sister.
