How Could The Ultrasound Show Tiny Endometrial Foci Presumed To Be Residuals Of Previous Instrumentation When Had Normal Delivery With No Instrumentation?
My pelvic ultrasound said there were tiny endometrial foci presumed to reprsent either synechiae or residua of previous instrumentation. I have never had any type of surgery and had a natural vag delivery with my 1 child, no other pregnancies or gyn issues so no instrumentation was ever used. What could cause endometrial foci on an ultrasound? It also said there were a few tiny bright reflectors scattered in the mid body endometrium. Is that these foci? Also, the endometrial canal echo complex was only 2 mm. I have been having irregular periods and lower abdominal pain and pelvic pain for 5 months now. What could be causing this? Any help would be great. Thanks!

You have a lot of questions that are hard to answer in this forum, but I will try to provide some guidance. First of all, you had an ultrasound that was notable for a very thin lining and what sound like calcifications. It is never helpful when a Radiologist tries to diagnose a scan out of the context of your medical history. You were scanned for irregular bleeding and abdominal / pelvic pain. From what you described from the ultrasound, it does not sound like a good explanation for your originial complaint. There should be a search as well for other sources of pain related to your bowels and urinary / bladder system.
