History Of Wrap Surgery For GERD. Gurgling In Throat. Taking Prilosec. How To Overcome This?

I have GERDS and had the wrap surgery to help cure and a hernia as well, I was diagnosed with this 12 years ago and had the surgery 12 years ago. For the past month I feel stomach acid gurgling into the back of my throat and I'm taking Prilosec each morning. Every morning when I wake up my throat is so sore and burning from all the acid that seeped into my mouth while I sleep. Is there anything I could take with the Prilosec to stop this? I'm having extremely bad pain in my belly and this sore throat and constant seeping of this stomach acid is annoying. thank you

Hi

I read carefully all your concerns and I am so sorry for your situation
If I were your treating doctor I would suggest to
- take prilosec or pantoprazol twice daily
- take anti acids
- avoid spicy foods, soft drinks, coffee and tea, smoking and alcohol.
- do an upper endoscopy and abdominal ultrasound.

Wish you health!
