History Of Abortion, Had 4 200 Mg Misoprost Vaginally. 7.5 Mm Tissues Left. Suggested 2 200mg In The Morning And In The Evening. Is This Enough Or D&C Required?

Hi doctor, I had an abortion and had 4*200mg misoprost vaginally but still 7.5 mm of tissues are left. I was suggested 2*200mg in the morning and 2*200mg in the evening. But i had only1*200mg in the morning and 1*200mg in the evening. Will it work for expelling the leftover tissues or i will have to go for D&C or there is anyother way through medicines?

I understand that you have had medical termination of pregnancy.
Not sure at what gestational age.

In either case, the 7.5 mm tissue should come out with the tablets you have taken.

Repeat the scan in 2 weeks time to ensure that has happened.

Its also advisable to follow some form of reliable contraception, to avoid this situation in the future.
