Had Painful Sex After Period. Treated Bacterial Vaginosis. Reason For Experiencing Cramps And Bleeding Like During Period?

Hello. My period went off over a week ago, & my boyfriend and I had sex last night but it was painful for me. Also I just recently had bacterial vaginosis but it went away. Now I am experiencing cramps and bleeding as if my period is back. what could this be?

Hello, well from the history you have given, pain during intercourse (dyspareunia) occurs usually in women with endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease....Mild discomfort is common, but if the pain is unbearable, then you need to consult your gynaecologist for further evaluation. ..Also make sure you void following intercourse and keep your perineum clean and take lots of fluids.....hope i was helpful to you.
