Feeling Very Down, Terrible Night Sweats. Had Hysterectomy. Could This Be Menopause Or Just Will Pass ?

Hi I had a hysterectomy last Dec. I kept one ovary the Dr. told me I shouldn't have any problems as far as sending me into menopause. For the last 3 weeks or so I've been feeling very down and feel like I could just start crying sometime. I also have been having terrible night sweats. I was just wondering if this would pass or would you recommend I contact my Dr. for help.

Hello
Thanks for your query.
Night sweats, hot flashes and unexplained mood changes point towards menopausal symptoms.
Sometimes one ovary does not suffice to sufficiently alleviate all post menopausal symptoms.
You need to consult a gynecologist, and go for hormonal tests to confirm this.
Hormone replacement therapy might help.
All the best.
