Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,
welcome to Healthcare Magic.

From your symptoms of nerves bursting, crying, confused and low mood it appear that you are suffering from chronic depression. This illness need long term treatment under close supervision of psychiatrist. In many cases symptoms recur on stoppage of treatment.

It is better to meet psychiatrist and start treatment accordingly, as medicines are prescription medicines. For long term control following simple measures are also helpful: relaxation exercise and non drug treatment like CBT.

Wish you good health and all the best.

Psychiatrist Dr. Indrayani Inamdar's  Response
hi, welcome to healthcare magic.
the symptoms you describe seem to be of mixed anxiety depression, which were till now controlled with medicines and the counselling your doctor did.
you also seem to have developed a dependance/ transference towards your doctor, hence you are avoiding seeing his replacement.
darla, it would be beneficial for you to keep taking the medicines and having regular follow ups. i wud suggest that you meet your new doctor, records will show the meds you were previously being prescribed..
counselling and relaxation techniques have been shown to maintain remission , hence if possible do try these.
hope this helps. regards,
dr inamdar
