Hello Thanks for writing to H.C.M. I have gone through your query regarding sudden blockade of your left ear which after two days became painful. As per your history of illness it appears as you are suffering from acute otitis media.This is an acute middle ear infection may be viral or bacterial. But this is always secondary to Eustachian tube (tubular connection between ear and throat) obstruction as seen in cases of common cold and sore throat. To get relief you should do- (a) Tab paracetamol. (b) Antihistaminic and decongestant. (c) Steam inhalation. I hope above treatment will help you.
