Ear Clogged, Pain. Taken Ibrufen. What Should Be Done To Unclog The Ear And Relieve Pain?
I was asleep one night and when i woke up my left ear was clogged. I could barely hear out of that ear, and still cant. I tried home remedies but after a 2 days of it being clogged, i started getting an extreme pain. It mostly only hurts when and after I burp or yawn, sometimes when i stretch. The pain is agonizing so i take ibuprofen to lessen it. I need help to figure out what i should do to unclog and stop pain
I have gone through your query regarding sudden blockade of your left ear which after two days became painful.
As per your history of illness it appears as you are suffering from acute otitis media. This is an acute middle ear infection may be viral or bacterial. But this is always secondary to Eustachian tube (tubular connection between ear and throat) obstruction as seen in cases of common cold and sore throat.
I hope above treatment will help you. But if unfortunately your problems persist even after above remedy than consultation with ENT doctor will become necessary to avoid further complications.
Regards.

Ear Clogged, Pain. Taken Ibrufen. What Should Be Done To Unclog The Ear And Relieve Pain?
Hello Thanks for writing to H.C.M. To get relief you should do- (a) Tab paracetamol. (b) Antihistaminic and decongestant. (c) Steam inhalation. I hope above treatment will help you. But if unfortunately your problems persist even after above remedy than consultation with ENT doctor will become necessary to avoid further complications. Regards.
