Hello,

Glycerol suppositories are laxatives and can be used occasionally to treat constipation. like all medicines, they can cause side effects but no panic attacks or heart failure.

Constipation is best treated by drinking plenty of water, eating foods high in fiber and exercising regularly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
