My ej is no 59% and my doctor say in a year they will do the echo and muwg tests again and if my heart is still the same my cardiomyopathy and heart failure has cured it's self. Hi, I have XXXXXXX in contact with one of your doctors, ten days or so ago. I queried heart failure and have been to my doctor, who sent me for a BNP blood test. The result is 51 ng/mL and is seen as an average result. Does this eliminate heart failure or should I still have an echocardiogram? The symptoms still exist.

doctor1 MD

Brief Answer:
Negative for heart failure

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Hi, I have had 2 heart attacks 6 years ago, 5days apart. There was significant muscle damage as the Troponin level after the 2nd heart attack was 24.8. I was caused by spontaineous dissection of right coronary artery. Nothing could be done, I was told. Have continued with life as normal, but have always had on and off chest pain and suffered from fatigue. Lately Im noticing SOB and a dry cough. Am I possibly starting heart failure symptoms?
My question is, if heart failure is diagnosed, do I need to rest more to avoid putting too much stress on my heart? Can I prolong my life if I look after my heart better?

doctor1 MD

I walked upstairs and was slightly out of breath. I sat down and noticed my heart rate was elevated but no pain or discomfort. I then noticed I could see my heart rate in my eyes as it caused them to pulse. I'm just wondering if that is a problem.
