Discoloured Spot On Side Of Nose, Slightly Tanned Colour. Cause For Discoloration?

I have been watching a discolored spot on side of my nose closer towards my cheek get darker and larger for a few months. It can still be easily covered by makeup and it is not raised...just slightly tan colored. I am worried about it and dont know what it is. It is not from my sunglasses, as it is not where they rest.
