Could Having Unproteced Sex Followed By HPT Negative Ascertain Not Being Pregnant?

I am 17 years old and had an abortion about a year ago. But I recently had unprotected sex a month ago and havent had a period since June. I also have had unprotected sex last week and two days ago have taken a pregnancy test (blood test) and it had came out negative. Am I still clear and not pregnant?

Hello,

Ideally, you need to take a pregnancy test at least 6-7 days after missing a period. However, since you haven't had a period since June, and the home pregnancy test is still negative, it is best to follow up with ObGyn to get Blood HCG testing done. If negative menstrual induction with progesterone supplementation can be tried to regularize periods.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
