Child Bruised On Legs And Spine, Leg Pain, Growing Pain, Has Fever. Worth Worrying?
My daughter will be five in december and she has been bruising alot lately. It is mostly in her legs but there has also been one near her spine. She also has been complaining of leg pain, so bad she says it feels like its killing her. I have told her pediatrician at least on two occasions. She doesnt seem to overly concerned and said the pain was growing pains. Maybe it is. But she also had a few fevers a few months ago with no other symptoms. Am I overreacting or should I be concerned? Her hemoglobin was 13 when they pricked her finger the other day.
Would like to know whether these bruising were spontaneous without any trauma?
If they are spontaneous bruising then i would suggest you should get a complete blood count and check her bleeding and clotting time to rule out platelet abnormality or Coagulation Factor deficiency.
If the above reports are normal then probably she could be suffering from growing pain.
