What Causes Fever, Headache And Leg Pain?

Hi my 5 yr old had a fever and leg pain. Also my daughter who is 6 has a fever, headache and leg pain. Is it just a virus? The leg pain is what caused me to be concerned since I have never had any of my kids complain of leg pain accompanied by a fever.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of fever, headache and leg pain, Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons, it seems like viral infection in your case such as viral pharyngitis. Leg pain is due to generalized weakness in body. I would suggest you to stay hydrated with lots of fluid. You should avoid food like nuts and sea food and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Consult general practitioner/ pediatrician once for proper examination. Doctor may order blood test , stool test and take history . Doctor may prescribe muscle realxant , antibiotics and anti pyretic . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist or ENT specialist if the problem will be related with gastric or ear .
