CT Scan showed Mild right maxillary sinusitis, right nasal septal deviation and a left concha bullosa. Dr prescribe Danzen 5mg, Ketotifen 1mg & Aqueous Nasal Spray. I'm worried, I dont wish to have any surgies. I am going to Hong Kong 4 Nov, any problem taking air-plane ? Do I need to have other medicine to reduce the pressure on air-plane? Currently having pressure around my nose and between eyes, will it get worse if on plane ?

Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum

It is not advisable to fly during active infection in the nose or ears. The reason, there will change of atmospheric pressure, which can induce acute pain in the sinuses and ears, and sometimes bleeding also.

But, in your case, its mentioned that you are flying on November 4 which is still a long way to go. Meanwhile you get appropriate treatment so that he fly without any hassels.

Use xylometazoline nasal spray 1 hour before the flight journey, perform steam inhalation before leaving your house and drink plenty of warm water. Continue with the rest of the medicines as advised by your doctor.
