Can Gas,cramping In Stomach And Nausea Symptoms For Ulcer?

For the past three weeks or so I have had on and off again stomach cramping, gas, lack of appetite (food almost repulses me) and nausea. I do drink 1-2 cups of coffee each morning, I never eat breakfast and I often take Ibuprofen for headaches and I get those frequently. Could I be experiencing symptoms of an ulcer? Should I stop drinking coffee and taking medication to see if the symptoms dissipate? Thanks

Brief Answer:
These symptoms may suggest a gastric ulcer. You should undergo fibrogastroscopy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM.
The most common symptom of gastric ulcer is a burning sensation or pain in the area between your chest and belly button. Normally, the pain is more intense when the stomach is empty and it can last for a few minutes or several hours. Gastric ulcer may be manifested with other symptoms similar to those you are suffering, such as: lack of appetite, nausea, bloating, or heartburn, but these symptoms may be indicators of an gastric acid reflux disease too.
To make a right differential diagnosis you should undergo a fibrogastroscopy.
All the facts above mentioned as : not having breakfast, drinking coffe, taking Ibuprofen may deteriorate your symptoms. So you should have regular meals, stop drinking to much coffe expecially with empty stomach, and stop taking Ibuprofen or other drugs from the same farmaceutical class.
In case of head ache you may take Paracetamol or Paracetamol + Codeine tablets.

Hope this is helpful.
