Are Runny Nose And Watery Eye Side Effects Of Clindamycine?

i was diagnosed with bacterial tonsillitis yesterday and was put on clindamycine as well as prednisone. since yesterday my eyes have been very watery and bloodshot and my nose has been running. is this from the tonsillitis or is it a side effect from one of the medicines?

Watery eyes, running , blood shot , these symptoms may be due to these possibilities , these include.
1 Tonsillitis , as you mentioned that you are having , tonsillitis , so this infection may develop these symptoms due to throat infection and allergy. Physical examination by a clinician will be helpful.
2 The next possibility may be due to side effects of " clindamycin" as these are urticaria, eosinophilia local irritation beside other symptoms.
As you mentioned that you took these two drugs and develop these symptoms , so may be due to side effects .
3 Allergic bronchitis may be the another such cause ,because all these symptoms are an indication of allergic bronchitis.
Prednisolone usually provide relief in such type of symptoms but in few cases I have noted that all these symptoms may be the side effects of prednisolone.
In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion.
When such patient visit I prescribe them to take monteleukast+ levoceterizine one or two tablet in day for 5-7 days.
Levofloxacin 750 mg / day for thee days as an antibiotics.
Since these are prescription drugs so consult a doctor get his opinion.
