Are Raised And Itchy Bumps On Stomach Related To Pregnancy?
For the past 10 weeks or so i have been havinf these bug like bumps appear on my tummy that seem to appear out of no where. Usually its only one raised bump about a cm wide and itches then goes away after about 30 minutes. Im also about 12weeks post pregnancy and i had puppps the last few weeks of pregnancy, i started noticing these random bumps after the puppps went away...could they be related? Is there anything i can do about them? They also only seem to happen at night and only on my tummy, and like i said usually only one bump in a few certain spots on my abdomen
Seems like you continue to develop the lesions of pupps. Now Polymorphic eruption of pregnancy is basically a type of skin rash related to pregnancy. PUPPP continues until delivery then usually resolves within a few weeks. Rarely, it may persist for longer. The treatment however remains the same. Topical calamine lotion, topical steroids and oral antihistamines and even oral steroids can be given in the post partum stage depending upon the severity of the rash.
If your rash is still persisting or is increasing, I would advise you to visit a dermatologist for proper assessment and treatment.
