Are Enlarged Mesenteric Lymph Nodes A Cause For Concern?

Took my 15 year old son to ER on Wed. for severe pain and blood in urine. Ct scan found kidney stone in his bladder. Sat. morning he passed the stone. Now ER follow up nurse calls to say that his small mesenteric lymph nodes are enlarged. The ER test showed no infection. He had a problem with enlarged lymp nodes under his arms at about 8 yrs old but the docs never found anything. Should I be concerned because the it's very scary to me.

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Its quite common to see enlarged mesenteric lymph node in adolescents.
There is absolutely no need for worry.
In the absence of other symptoms like pain in abdomen and fever, it can be left alone.
Would also suggest to repeat Ultrasound after 6 months to know whether the lymph nodes are regressing.

Take Care
