Hello and welcome,

Parents are always worried and anxious when their kids fall sick. It is a universal phenomenon.

It sounds like your child has a case of tonsillitis. Which is common for children of her age. Although I could prescribe you medicines, which include one antibiotic (short course of 3 days or a longer one of 5 days), one mild pain killer (as she is a child and would find it difficult to swallow too many tablets, we could give her a mild pain killer which we could dissolve in luke warm water, gargle and spit out three times a day), and a throat disinfectant solution to kill the bacteria.

The reason why I choose not to prescribe the drugs is because I do not know her weight and a pediatrician would be able to best diagnose your daughters condition by examining her throat and calculating the precise dose according to her body mass.

This is a common infection and is nothing you should be worried about.

I wish you and your family good health.

Best wishes.
