I had a heart attack in 2007.. My pain began in my left hand and then traveled up my arm, to neck and chest area.. my arm then begin to feel oddly heavy..I began to feel very short of breath and very weak, was afraid I was going to pass out. Doctors said I got to hospital just in time,, Was starting to go into cardiac arrest and had no blood pressure.. I was told you dont mess around with chest pain.. if you even suspect you may be having a heart attack, call 911.. I had my son drive me to hospital..they said if you call an ambulance paremedics will begin to treat you as soon as they arrive at your home, plus they notify hospital of your condition, so hospital is ready for you when you get there..

I m a 24-year-old female. Slightly overweight, haven t smoked a cigarette in 2 years, but use an electronic cigarette. I have been experiencing a pain in my chest since this morning, on my left side. I ve been experiencing a sense of nausea, without actually getting sick, for about an hour. It feels as if it s a hunger pain in my stomach, but I had just eaten. Also, I feel slightly dizzy. I m worried that I might need to go to the hospital, but also feel like I m just being paranoid. What is the likelihood that this is a heart attack? I heard that they can be silent, almost unrecognizable, in women.

I get pains just to the left centre of my chest but it goes after a few minutes. I may not get another one for a few weeks and it has been happening over the last 3 months. I put it down to indegestion but am now getting worried as it is still happening. Is this warning signs ? I don t get pains anywhere else while experiencing this. Re Thomas. I am 38, male and white British. My father had history of Angina. I have not taken anything for pain as it goes on it s own after 10 mins or so. It is a dull pain and I do not get sweaty or feel ill with it. I have no other symptoms other than this. I rarely drink but I do smoke. I do not take any other type of drug.It does not appear when I exercise it seems to be random. Thanks for your reply grant e

my friend is male, 58 yrs. Had a heart attack 3 yrs ago and had a bypass. He had a mild heart attack last month no bypass.Today at his check up his cardio. dr. said that he has an 80% blockage in 4 artries not counting the ones bypassed 3yrs ago. These blockages are in places where there is a 75% chance that an operation would kill him, according to the dr. The dr said that my friend is a walking time bomb, gave him 6-8 months and added that stress, strain, physcial exertion could cause it to happen quicker.I know diet and exercise are very important in keeping a healthy heart. Is there ANYTHING my friend can do except wait?

Hi, My father is 63 years old. 2 days back he suffered a chest pain for a long time when he was walking for quite sometimes. He did some chest examinations and after he was shown a cardiologist he told that apart from a blockage in heart there is a small miocadial infarction.
I don't stay with him and i really don't know what is the his health condition and what is the immediate doable for him.
He is fine now. Some medicines are given. I don't understand was it a heart attack because the doctor haven't told like that.
I stay in Bangalore and is in Kolkata. Pls suggest the immediate doable and places where treatments would be good.
