I have been on 2400mg Gabapentin, 200 mg topamax, 300mg wellbutrin, .3mg estradiol, and 60mg cymbalta I have gained 20 pounds and I haven't changed anything. I eat healthy I can't run like I used to but I do exercise and the scale just rises. I am so frustrated I have never had issues with weight until I was put on these medications. Could any of this contribute to my gaining weight and difficulty losing it?

My doctor said I don't have a need to see an endocrinologist and I have to have a referral to make an appointment with the one that takes tricare even though my policy doesn't require referrals.
Should I push to see an endocrinologist or don't need to see one based on these results?

Brief Answer:
Estrogen therapy can cause weight gain.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
Sorry to learn about your bothersome symptoms.
From the medications you mentioned, ethynilestradiol can cause significant weigth gain.
The dose used usually is 20-40 mcg. Probably the reported dose is 30 mcg!?
I do not no the reason why you are taking it, but you may discuss with an endocrinologist about the possibility to lower the dose.
Wellbutrin can cause sometimes weight gain.
The thyroid function is within the normal ranges and the Glycated hemoglobin (the meanglucose level of the last 3 months) is normal.

Please feel free to ask if you have further questions.

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
