Question: Please find below my semen analysis details:

Colour :Grayish white Opaque,quantity : 2 ml,reaction : alakaline, liquefaction time : 30 min, odour: seminal,activly motile:40%,sluggushly motile : 40%,non motile : 20%,normal forms : 85%,abnormal form:15%,epithelial cells :01-02/HPF,Pus cells: 3-4/HPF,RBC:NIL,Sperm count :32mill/ml,semen for fructose : positive.

After seeing this the doctor has prescribed me Carnimed plus tablets.

Let me know if there is any problem in me.Is it better to use the tablets.I am married 1.5 years ago and we are trying for pregancy since then.

My wife has irregular periods and she is taking in folmet and ovacare tabs.We are planning for IUIF next month. Is that a good option or should we wait for some more time for normal pregnancy and how far is the succuss rate for IUIF and should that be done by fertility specialist or a gyno can also perform that. What is the cost of IUIF process. Please let me know the details.

Brief Answer:
IUI is a good option

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about infertility.

Following is my reply:

1. Your semen analysis is fine. You don't need any medicines.

2. Carnimed can be continued as it is a supplement. It won't harm.

3. If you have tried for pregnancy more than one year, better to go ahead with IUI.

4. Success rate in an IUI cycle is around 20 percent. IUI costs about 5 thousand rupees.

5. It is better to get done in IVF centres. XXXXXXX I I Fertility in XXXXXXX is a good place. Please Google for address.

I hope I clarified your doubt.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. But my wife's gyno told that normal sperm count should be 40mill/ml and my sperm motility is also low and because of this my wife is not getting pregnant. Is that true?

Also my penis is small approximatly 4 cm when in normal state and apprx 8 cm when doing sex.Does this also play any rile in pregnancy.

Should i undergo any other tests?

Brief Answer:
Your semen analysis is normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your gyno has given you wrong information. Minimum count is 15 million per ml and not 40 million per ml. Your motility is also fine. You need to change your gyno. Please consult an IVF centre in your town.

Your penis is normal length and does not need treatment. It has no role in getting pregnant.

You dont need any tests or medicines.
