Question: does an RDW of 20.6, MCH -26.3, MCV-78.9 INDICATE BLOOD CANCER? I HAVE BEEN ANEMIC BUT HGB HAS GONE UPTO 12. RBC=4.59, HCT/PCV=36.2, MCH-26.3

Brief Answer:
No, It does not indicate blood cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have history of bleeding from hemorrhoids and anemia.

It leads to iron deficiency anemia. Slightly high RDW, low MCV, low MCH are common in iron deficiency anemia.

So don't worry much about that.
You should check your iron and ferritine level and if needed you should take iron supplements accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about RDW.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear

Nothing to worry about RDW.

RDW is RED cell Distribution Width. It just variation in size of RBC. If variation in size of RBCs is increased then it shows high RDW. Nothing to worry.

Warfferin has no direct relation with iron level but it increase the chances of bleeding so if hidden bleeding occurs then it can leads to low iron level.

Hope I have answered your question.
