default
Posted on Mon, 7 Dec 2015
Question: Here is my white blood count over the past 7 years and it continues to go down. I'm 39 years old and am just recently having some symptoms of sickness. i.e. nausea, head and neck pain, etc. My Dr. said not to worry about it and it's normal? I'm wondering if it is normal or do I need to worry about something?

Brief Answer:
Your all reports are normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
I have read your all reports.
Your total wbc count is completely normal. Its not dropping or increasing.
Your CRP is normal so no any inflammation is there. Your liver function tests and kidney function test all are normal.
Your electolytes are also normal.

Overall your all reports are normal. So don't worry about that. Just be relaxed.
As you say your scopy and ultrasound came back negative so no any cause in that also.

You have head and neck pain weakness. So you should check for other cause of headache like hypertension, stress headache, refractory error, neurological causes etc.

You can take drugs like paracetamol for headache as and when required till you find definitite cause.

Avoid spicy and oily food. It can leads to dyspepsia and headache.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.

Thank you for your reply I guess my main concern is that's white blood count has consistently dropped over the last 7 years? From 6.2-4.8. And even over the last 3 months since I've felt the worst it dropped from 5.1 -4.8 I know it's still in the Normal range but I'm wondering if u have an immune disease or something that is killing off my white blood cells?

Brief Answer:
Most of people have no symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have EB virus infection. It is very common. Most of the people get infected by eb virus in their life.

Vast majority of people will experience no symptoms or have self limited illness such as infectious mononucleosis when they contract virus.

So don't worry much about that.

Of course few cancers are related with eb virus like burkitt's lymphoma, hodgkin's lymphoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, some T cell lymphoma etc. But these cancers are very rare. Most of the people will not have any symptoms.

Your symptoms are not related to eb virus. Fatigue can be due to eb virus infection. But overall no any specific treatment or precautions are required.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
