Brief Answer:
Please consult nephrologist and do blood and urine test for kidney function

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Ultrasound scan is a recommended method for evaluation of kidneys. In the ultrasound report it is seen that the kidneys are slightly more lighter than expected and this might be due to early kidney disease because of hypertension. This is a subjective opinion and requires confirmation by doing other kidney tests.

2. It is suggested that renal function blood and urine tests are done to know if there is any decrease in kidney functions. Even if there is any kidney abnormality then it can be reversed at this time.

3. The tests include blood urea, serum creatinine, serum albumin, serum electrolytes and urine routine investigation. If there is any problem in kidney then it is in early stage and please consult a nephrologist for suggestions on investigations and better blood pressure control and management.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
