What Do The Following Test Results Indicate?

Question: my son is age 14 year , Height is 142 cm . consulted with endocrinologist suggest some tests. The test has been done Reports are IFG-1 (Somatomedin C ) is 134, Screatinine ..0.6,, Testosterene Total. 159.. rest other test were nornal. pls suggest email id : YYYY@YYYY

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your query and concern.

Testosterone levels are marginally low.

Height is on lower side of the normal range.

Somatomedin C and serum creatinine both are within the normal range.

This could be Constitutional delay in puberty onset.

Many of the children resume to their normal height and testosterone levels within one year.

Hence I advise you to wait for one year and repeat all the tests.

As of now ,your son doesn't need any medications.
