What Causes Vertigo?

default
Posted on Wed, 8 Jun 2016
Question: I am 63, female and in good health. This morning I experienced vertigo(first time ever) to where I couldn't get out of bed and when I was able to get out of bed I vomited. I went back to bed for a few hours and felt better--a little light headed and not too hungry. I ate some oatmeal and a banana. When I looked in the mirror I discovered these little red dots under my eyes and my face is a little red. I read how to do some vertigo exercises and I did them, but I am unsure about my face and the red pin dots. what are they and why at my age am I first experiencing vertigo?

Brief Answer:
Need to be investigated, tablet vertin

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
There are many causes for Vertigo . From simple causes to serious causes .

Simple causes are Low or High BP , Low or High Blood Sugar , Low or High Blood Sodium levels , Anemia , Thyroid Disease .
So I advise you to get certain tests done and revert back .

First get you BP checked in Sitting and standing position.
Also get your Blood sugars , Hemoglobin , Serum Sodium , TSH tested .
Consult an ENT doctor and ask him to do DIX Hallpike Maneuver.
Presently, I would have prescribed tablet vertin, you can get valid prescription from local doctor.

Regarding the red dots, it would be better if you can upload the pictures, I'll go through them, and I'll be in better position to provide you with specific advice.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.
Take care.
