What Causes Vertigo, Nausea, Vomiting, Hypertension, Headache And Dizziness?

default
Posted on Sat, 24 Jun 2017
Question: My problem started with vertigo, nausea, vomiting. At last, blood pressure went up to 190/114 after throwing up(I never had hypertension before) I went to ER ( blood test, x-ray, CT scan in head were all normal)and I got prescription for lisinopril 10mg a day. I keep on it. But I still have mild pressure on my head, sometimes mild headache, little dizzy, tired, but strangely I can play Tennis(in order to strengthen my physical condition and start to work)
How can I manage my physical condition and can I start to work?
And can I drink coffee?
Thank you in advance for your advice.

Brief Answer:
Healthy lifestyle, monitor your blood pressure.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Management of your physical condition requires monitoring of blood pressure (three times a day for few days for example) to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment, healthy lifestyle (avoiding excessive alcohol and avoiding smoking), exercising.

Drinking coffee may increase your blood pressure, so, it is necessary to restrict its use maybe one coffee in the morning.

If blood pressure is well controlled with the treatment and these measures you can return to work.

If still not a stable and normal blood pressure, treatment should be reviewed.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards.
