What Causes Vaginal Swelling With Discharge?
Question: I recently have been treated for a uti..I was prescribed ciprofloxacin...I am to take two a day for seven
days...before getting treated I experienced all the symptoms of uti..as I have had them in the past..but I have noticed that my vagina has swollen but it was swollen before getting diagnosed..not since taking the medicine prescribed I have been having a lot of discharge with a foul odor..I typically have this around the time of my menstrual which I do not have due to the implanon.I was wanting to know if the discharge is normal also the swelling?

1. You are having vaginal infection which has lead to discharge and swelling.
2. This in turn may have caused UTI.
3. You need to get high vaginal swab of the vaginal discharge and send it for culture and sensitivity test to diagnose which is infecting organism.
4. You can take antibiotics accordingly after reports.
If vaginal infection is treated it will help in relieving swelling as well as UTI
