Brief Answer:
Thyroid cancer

Detailed Answer:
There are various risk factors for thyroid cancer. I am listing some here: 1 Family history of thyroid cancer 2 Upper body/head/neck area radiation treatments in the past for cancers in that region 3 Hashimoto's thyroiditis (increases risk for lymphoma of thyroid) There are various types of thyroid cancer too. Each has its own set of risk factors. For example Medullary thyroid cancer may be associated with a specific inherited generic condition called MEN ( Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia). Another example is how long standing benign goitres ( enlarged thyroid glands with nodules) become cancerous later on in some cases.
