Brief Answer:
leg swelling and likely course of management

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

It would have been more appreciable if you had shared the details about its onset, any preceeding history of trauma, associated fevers or tenderness.

The possibility of swelling along with redness and spots can be of cellulitis. That is the soft tissues subcutaneous area beneath the skin inflammation and is usually self limiting and resolves with pain killers, keeping the limb up, rest and antibiotics in some cases.

In case, you need to be examined by a surgeon on detail regarding blood flow, pulses in lower leg and you may also be asked for a doppler utrasound, to see blood flow on arteries of the affected leg. Such work up will also rule out dangerous possibilities like compartment syndrome.

For pain, you can temporarily use acetaminophen or brufen cream. You may also need to use anti histamines for itching if any.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.

Brief Answer:
clarification and detailed history

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Thanks for sharing the details.

If fever has settled you can wait till Monday. If rash us extending to cover whole body, you may need urgent review with a doctor nearby.

Meanwhile, if you have been advised some antibiotics for fever, you can keep on using that along with anti pyretics until the next visit. If knee pain, rash and fever or accompanied you need to get examined by the doctor in that perspective too.the BP reading you mentioned ate no in alarming limit to be labeled as very low, so drinking more fluids will help with that.
