Question: i have a patch of small white bumps on the roof of my mouth no pain about the size of a XXXXXXX

As per your complain a patch of small white bumps at the roof of the mouth can be due to numerous causes like fungal infection, Canker sores, burning with hot food etc..

Please answer the following questions so that I can guide you better..

1.Since how many days it is present?
2.Do you have any sensitivity to hot and cold in that area?
3.Do you have any known allergies?
4.Did it improve from.tgenday you noticed it or spreading?
5.Do you have any white coating on tongue or any other parts inside mouth?
6.Do you remember burning the mouth with any hot foods or chemicals like mouthwash?
7.Do you have any medical problems or are you on any medications?
8.If possible please upload an image of the area in question.

about a week no temperature sensitivity no allergies seems about the same as when i first noticed it no white coating no medical problems only thyroid meds i will try to take a pic

As of now do warm saline gargle..
Gargle with antiseptic mouthwash solution..
Cool your food to room temperature before having..

i was told it ''looked like '' a virus. what kinds of virii could it be?? is it contagious?? will it spread??

It can be Herpes virus but has to be confirmed with a blood test and swab culture from the lesion..

Viral infections are contagious and in case if it is ruled out you should keep your personal belongings separate and avoid sharing with others..

Yes, herpes can appear in other parts of body too in the form of sores but it is commonly seen in and around mouth and genitals..

It is contagious infection and the most common method of spread is sexual contact..
