What Causes Severe Itching Between The Elbows And Wrists?
Question: moved to FL from NH 1yr ago; not sure if this relates to climate or not
Itching, sometimes very severe, between elbows & wrists, flares up. Never had allergies B4 (except sulfur drugs) Another new change is living with a pet: silky terrier dog.
Currently taking Claritin & Benedryl, OTC vitamins, paxil, synthroid, hydrochlorthalidone (generic for tenoric) ?
Have no insurance. What may be recommendations to resolve?
My mistake. I went to a walk in clinic and was told I had chlamydia. No vaginal symptoms, however, at one point the itching was on my lower abdomen, where there is a fold of skin. Had lost 60lbs 2yrs ago. Forty lbs are back on. Currently 170 lbs

Brief Answer:
Start montelukast also.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should start anti allergic drug.
Combination of anti allergic (montelukast) and antihistamine (levocetrizine) is better than plain antihistamine (Claritin).
Also use mometasone cream for local application on elbows an wrist.
I think these drugs are available over the counter.
So just inquire about combination of levocetrizine /fexofenadine and montelukast, mometasone cream.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
